Why: Twin Rocker, Pop Rods 2.0, Carbon Array 3, Slimewalls, Cleave Edge,
This twin shape has minimal rocker featuring a long, stable flat zone that extends well beyond the inserts into the tip and tail. The Pop Rods are carbon tubes added to the boards for more pop and smoother landings without added stiffness. The Carbon Array provides total board control in every stance location. 3 widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control. Ride’s exclusive Slimewalls are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may Ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding. Nearly 50% more steel in the Cleave Edge, delivers unmatched resistance to edge cracking and can be detuned to larger radii.
If the base of this board doesn’t say it loud enough, this board is fun! Right off the bat I noticed how smooth it was edge to edge. Real easy board to ride but it didn’t have that “dead” feel that easy riding boards usually have. Even though it has a medium/soft flex with all the carbon in this board in all the right places it has unreal pop and stability. The twin rocker was a pleasant surprise as well, just enough rocker for that catch free feel and the extra flat area gave it even MORE stability. The Buckwild is for sure one of my favorite boards of all time. “The best rider is who ever is having the most fun”, its hard not to be the best rider on this bad mama-jamma!
